THRIFTY FOODS SENDIAL – Volunteer Shopper

Sendial is a shopping and home delivery service provided by Thrifty Foods for individuals such as seniors, who are unable to shop in a store without assistance.  Volunteers are required to shop the orders for Nanaimo’s Port Place and Longwood Station locations. Orders are taken by phone by a volunteer the day before being shopped. Shopping shifts are typically once per week in the early morning for 2 to 3 hours and may commence as early as 7:30. The shopping day varies by store. Volunteer shoppers must be healthy, have no immune deficiencies and have no contact with anyone who is ill.  Must also have the ability to bend, reach, lift and walk on hard surfaces for the duration of the shift, accept the Thrifty Foods COVID protocols and sign a formal agreement to that effect. Priority may be given to individuals who are flexible to both store locations.  For more information, please contact Lynanne Smith at 250-978-0551 (Victoria) or email: sendial@thriftyfoods.com.
