What are the benefits of Membership with Volunteer Nanaimo?
~ We promote your organization: As a member, we promote your organization and help you recruit through our website, displays at Volunteer Nanaimo events, Community Presentations and media volunteer opportunity bulletin which is sent out every week. This displays your volunteer opportunity in the Nanaimo Bulletin every week. Your volunteer needs are sent to local media and important organizations that work with the unemployed to be displayed on their premises. We also promote your special events.
~ Donation Program: We regularly receive donations of equipment, furniture or supplies which we pass on to you. Last year we donated computers, office furniture and equipment.
~ Free loan of our equipment and supplies: This includes: an LED Projector, a Laptop Computer, 2 Overhead Projectors, Spiral Binding Machine, Fax Machine, 2 Laminators and 3 Digital Cameras.
~ Workshops: We will continue to offer free or reduced rates on topics important to you, such as volunteer management, board governance, fund development and skills development.
~ National Volunteer week: Your volunteers are important and as a member you will receive information on this annual event before others so that you can prepare. Your volunteers will get the recognition they so rightly deserve and we offer a luncheon complete with entertainment and prizes every year.
~ Board Room: Free use of our board room once a month for board meetings, training and meeting space.
