We are announcing three ways to support Service Users as a Volunteer Crisis Line Responder. Training begins remotely on September 28, 2022, for all three options, via Trainual and Zoom. Option A in-person at our Crisis Centre in Nanaimo.
OPTION A-CRISIS LINE RESPONDERS PROVIDE SUPPORT FROM OUR CRISIS CENTRE, WITH REMOTE SERVICE OPTIONS
You support service users via the following Crisis services
Vancouver Island Crisis Line, Crisis Chat, and Crisis Text
Provincial 1800SUICIDE and 310Mental Health Support lines
National Talk Suicide Canada network, supporting via both Voice and Text interactions
OPTION B-CRISIS LINE RESPONDERS ANSWER VANCOUVER ISLAND CRISIS CHAT AND CRISIS TEXT REMOTELY
You support service users via Vancouver Island Chat and Text, which is available from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm Pacific.
OPTION C-CRISIS LINE RESPONDERS PROVIDE SUPPORT REMOTELY FOR LOCAL AND NATIONAL SERVICES
You support service users via the following Crisis services:
Vancouver Island Crisis Chat and Crisis Text
Nation Talk Suicide Canada network, supporting via both Voice and Text Interactions
