Nanaimo Foodshare is looking for several volunteers to assist with the Monday lunch program. This will be on an as-needed basis, generally once or twice a month. Hours will be from 10AM to 1:30PM. Kitchen assistants work under the supervision of Foodshare’s chef to prepare and serve lunch at St. Paul’s Anglican church, located at 100 Chapel Street in Nanaimo.
If you enjoy and have a talent for preparing delicious, nourishing meals for folks, Foodshare would love your help. Volunteers are welcome to share in the meal. Basic food preparation skills and knowledge of kitchen safety practices are required. Teamwork, organizational and customer service skills are also required.
