Kiwanis Lodge is looking for a volunteer with a love for music, or the skill of playing an instrument, to lead small music groups (4-5 Residents). This volunteer must be comfortable leading group music & amp and singing. Independence and sense of initiative are also required; the volunteer will be trained and introduced to Residents, but after some time, the volunteer will hopefully be comfortable connecting with Residents independently. The ability to play an instrument is required – guitar, piano, even small hand instruments or use CD player or iPad music to lead group singing. Must be comfortable with seniors and have patience and compassion. A Criminal Record Check is required and is paid for by the agency.
