NANAIMO DISABILITY RESOURCE CENTRE – Reception and Permit Processing

Nanaimo Disability Resource Centre requires volunteers to greet walk-in clients, answer phones, take messages and process Parking Permit applications. This position is for 3 hours/week from 9AM to 12:30 PM or from 12:30 to 3:30PM.  The Thursday morning and afternoon shifts are currently vacant and are preferred.  Due to the training required, a time commitment of 6 months is required. All training is provided, and there will be support staff nearby for help.  A volunteer for this position must speak English fluently, have the ability to multi-task, answer phones and have basic computer knowledge.  Office experience is preferred but is not essential.
