Island Crisis Care Society is looking for and Arts and Crafts volunteers for programs in Nanaimo and Parksville. These volunteers will be sitting with residents and creating together at a relaxed pace. You will be using pre-prepared arts and crafts kits, so there is no need to bring supplies or have art experience. You will encourage creativity, spark conversation with the residents and build connection through shared artistic moments. Volunteers with patience, empathy, good listening and conversation skills who are reliable and punctual are needed. There is no need for you to be artistic yourself, as long as you are willing to encourage creativity in others! An RCMP Criminal Record Check is required and is paid for by the agency.
