Volunteer Coordinator
Bethlehem Centre is looking for a Volunteer Coordinator. This volunteer will bolster the volunteer program at Bethlehem Centre, creating a warm and supportive experience for all volunteers, from their first inquiry through to ongoing involvement. This role ensures that every volunteer feels welcomed, informed and appreciated, while also helping the centre run smoothly through thoughtful coordination and communication. A friendly, approachable, organized, detail-oriented person is required. This volunteer must also be comfortable with basic computer tools, be flexible and supportive, have strong communication and people skills and have the ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold the values of Bethlehem Centre. Centre Shop Reception Volunteer
As a Centre Shop Reception Volunteer, you would be greeting guests, answering phones, processing gift shop sales, tidying the space, and offering general assistance to the guest services team. Spiritual Lending Library
Duties for this position include shelving books, maintaining order and entering new titles into the database. You would also be screen donations for suitability, and assist with cataloging and labeling as needed. A volunteer who enjoys quiet, focussed tasks who is organised and attentive to detail is needed. Land Steward Volunteer – Grounds, Buildings & Labyrinth Care Position
A volunteer for this position would be assisting with odd jobs in and around the buildings, assist with lawn care, gardening and seasonal yard work, as well as light maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, painting or upkeep. Housekeeping and Set Up Position
A volunteer for this position would be preparing guest rooms, common areas and gathering spaces. Making beds, tidying, light cleaning, assisting with restocking supplies in guest rooms and washrooms, and helping refresh common areas. Centre Food Garden Volunteer
A volunteer for this position would be weeding, watering and mulching vegetable beds and herb plots, assisting with planting, harvesting and composting and cleaning and storing garden tools properly. For each of these volunteer positions at Bethlehem Centre, an RCMP Criminal Record Check will be required and is paid for by the agency. Training and supervision will be provided for each position.
