KIWANIS VILLAGE – Men’s Woodworking Program Support

Kiwanis Village is beginning a monthly men’s woodworking group at Kiwanis Lodge with the hope of connecting some of the male residents over shared small woodworking projects.  Items would range from small wooden train assembly to birdhouses to garden containers.  The date of the men’s groups varies each month, with a program once a month.

Kiwanis is searching for a male/male-identifying volunteer with a flexible schedule who can join our men’s group once a month. This volunteer will be asked to support residents in assembly and project tasks and will require a patient and compassionate approach. Comfortability in a long-term care setting will be helpful, but there will be staff support throughout the program. An RCMP Criminal Record Check is required and is paid for by the agency.
