We have been serving the community and Non-profit organizations in the greater Nanaimo area for nearly 30 years. We connect thousands of individuals with important volunteer opportunities in their community. As a multi-service volunteer centre we provide several programs for Nanaimo Volunteer and Information Centre Society. Volunteer Nanaimo plays a key role in the development of volunteerism in the Nanaimo region.

Volunteer Corps
The Youth Volunteer Corps of Nanaimo (YVC), is a program of the Nanaimo
Volunteer and Information Centre Society. It offers young people, age 11
to 18, an opportunity to be involved in problem solving through
structured, meaningful, team based, and reflective volunteer
service. Not-for-profit organizations are given the opportunity to
submit project proposals to the YVC program.
