CAN is dedicated to providing programs to individuals on the autism spectrum and their families. Volunteer applications are reviewed seasonally (3 times per year). The next volunteer intake will run throughout June-July; accepted volunteers can expect to begin volunteering by the end of September. No autism experience needed. Training is provided to all accepted volunteers. Volunteers must be over the age of 15, have a willingness to work and engage with participants on the spectrum, and have the ability to work with people of all races, ethnicities, gender identities, sexual orientations, and all other protected areas as per BC Human Rights legislation.
